Impact Report – July 2018

It’s been a busy few months at Revive as we’ve been welcoming several new clients, as well as increasing our work with existing ones, and so we thought it was high time we took a minute to step back and look at our impact over the these last couple of months. We exist to create positive environmental impact, and we want to report and share this impact so that our clients and supporters can see the tangible difference their businesses are making by them recycling their coffee grounds with us.

We are delighted that over the last couple of months we have had some fantastic cafes joining our mission, and sending their used coffee grounds to us. As well as this, we rolled out our collection service across the full campus at the University of Edinburgh, as was highlighted in our May blogThis has seen our intake of used coffee grounds almost double, and is sending us well on our way to closing the loop on coffee shop waste.

We have now completed more than 370 collections which has seen us recycling more than 7 tonnes of used coffee grounds. To give this a bit of perspective, that’s the equivalent of around 175,000 lattes. It’s quite an image when you put it like that, right?

Keep your eyes peeled for future Reports to see how we’re creating a real difference through our work!
