Now back home in Scotland after our return from In-Cosmetics Global 2025 in Amsterdam, what an incredible experience it was!
Hosted at the expansive RAI Amsterdam venue, this year’s event welcomed 1,043 exhibitors and over 200 seminars and presentations, spread across eight halls.
The sheer size and diversity of the exhibitors, from global corporations to ambitious start-ups, was truly inspiring, all united by one goal: shaping the future of cosmetics and personal care.

A First-Time Experience for Some, a Big Milestone for All
While it was the first time attending for some members of our team, this marked Revive’s second time exhibiting at the event.
We were proud to once again be part of the UK Department for Business and Trade Pavilion, representing innovation from Scotland and showcasing our upcycled ingredients to the world.
Despite having a compact stand, we made a bold impact with our display of active ingredients derived from spent coffee grounds — including oils, emulsifiers, surfactants, and exfoliants — alongside a sneak peek at some of our formulated products.
Non-Stop Engagement & Exciting Leads
Over the three-day event, we were thrilled to engage with more than 75 companies — from distributors and formulators to manufacturers and fellow ingredient innovators. Our team was fully booked with meetings, spontaneous drop-bys, and exciting conversations.
A few highlights:
Promising discussions with national and international distributors.
Strong interest in our upcycled surfactants, with many conversations circled around how these waterless solutions could revolutionise product formulation.
Standout Seminars & Key Takeaways
The educational side of In-Cosmetics didn’t disappoint.
We took in a variety of thought-provoking seminars, including:
Fragrance Frenzy
Exploring how scent now plays an emotional, nostalgic role in everything from skincare to haircare.
Ethical Vegan and Plant-Based Cosmetics
Proving that sustainability alone isn’t enough; efficacy and testing remain critical.
Embracing Wellness
Anti-ageing is out; longevity and ageing well is in. Beauty now supports broader wellness goals.
eCommerce Trends
A.I. is reshaping the online beauty experience, making it easier for consumers to find tailored products.
Simplicity, Authenticity, and Holistic were the buzzwords of the week.
Special shoutouts to speakers Jo Chidley, who shared powerful insights on sustainability and AI, and Marcia Kilgore, who brought energy and disruption to the stage.
Where Do We Fit In?
It was exciting to see so much movement toward sustainable innovation, but also validating to realise that Revive is leading the way when it comes to upcycled ingredients. Only a handful of companies showcased similar solutions — and none quite like ours.
We left feeling inspired and motivated. Knowing our mission to replace virgin materials with upcycled ingredients is not just necessary — it’s in demand.
What’s Next?
Upon our return from In-Cosmetics Global 2025 we started to follow up on the dozens of promising leads gathered.
New distribution partnerships, formulation collaborations, and ingredient testing opportunities are all underway.
We left Amsterdam with clarity on where we need to focus next to improve our processes to become even better.
Final Reflections
In-Cosmetics Global 2025 was a huge milestone for us. It validated our vision, highlighted the demand for what we’re building, and helped position us for an exciting year of growth and progress.
If we had to sum up the experience in one word?
