It’s been a hugely exciting week for us here at Revive, with exciting new coffee collection clients joining our mission, a trip to London, and an opportunity for us to get our glad rags on at an Awards Dinner!
Firstly, we are absolutely delighted to announce our partnership with Scotland’s leading event and entertainment hub, the Scottish Event Campus (SEC). This partnership will see us collecting the used coffee grounds from across the SEC campus, comprised of the SEC Centre, SEC Armadillo and SSE Hydro.
The SEC has long welcomed globally-renowned bands, conferences and sports events through its doors, and with around 2 million visitors annually, the SEC is somewhat of a powerhouse in the global event industry. We can’t wait to start working alongside them to help them lead the way in running large scale events, with sustainability at the forefront of their minds and decisions.
Wednesday evening saw the annual Global Game Changers Awards taking place in the fantastic Grand Central Hotel in Glasgow’s city centre. We were delighted to have been named as finalists in two categories, alongside a vast array of inspiring businesses and individuals from across the world. Not only were we buzzing for the awards announcements, but the event also gave us the opportunity to get suited and booted, and leave the hi-viz and coffee stained clothes at home for a nice change.
It was a fantastic event, with an engaging and insightful keynote delivered by Marc Buckley, followed by an incredibly entertaining and mesmerising performance from the forensic mind reader, Colin Cloud. We were delighted to be given a Commendation Award for the Start-up and Share category, and left the event feeling incredibly inspired and motivated to keep driving Revive forward, and continue to bring about real change through our work.
